LAND USE MASTER PLAN UPDATE

The City of DeWitt is updating the 2010-2020 Land Use Master Plan (Comprehensive Development Plan) - a public document that is designed to coordinate land use planning and development for the city (not including the Township).  By state statute, the Planning Commission is the preparer, guardian, and enforcer of the Master Plan. Your responses will help the DeWitt City Council and Planning Commission determine how the city should consider development over the next 10 years.  The final Master Plan will be a reflection of community input, best planning and development practices, and analysis of the best available data.

Brownie Girl Scout Troop 30118

Footprints for Michigan

Footprints of Michigan collects gently used and new shoes to donate to the homeless.  They have traveled around the State of Michigan passing out shoes to those in need.   Girls Scout Troop 30118 is part of this collection effort and has placed a donation box at DeWitt City Hall for you to drop off any type of footwear in adult and children sizes.  There is a current need for athletic shoes and boots for the winter season, however Footprints of Michigan will accept dress shoes, casual shoes, sandals, and flip flops in good/gently used condition. No holes and clean soles. The Girl Scouts will be making a delivery to Footprints of Michigan on January 20th.

The Collection Box is located at 414 E. Main Street inside the DeWitt City Hall Building.  Please donate. We'd like to reach our goal to collect 100 pairs of shoes and boots.  Thank you.
