By the first of March each year assessment change notices are mailed to all property owners in the City which show changes in value from the previous year and which list the reason for the change, if any. Values may be appealed to the Board of Review in March.
The City Board of Review, which is comprised of three residents, meets to hear property assessment appeals from property owners on the second Monday in March and the day following every year. The Board will hear and consider appeals from owners in person or by mail.
No appointment is needed to attend Board of Review. It is based on a first come first serve bases.
2008 Board of Review is: Monday, March 10 from 3-9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 11 from 3-9 p.m.
Re-Appraisal Process
The re-appraisal cycle is conducted when sales studies and accumulated data indicates the need.
